Wow what a beautiful week this week has been!

We have made the most of the sunshine and been outside as often as possible, we even managed to fit in a trip out of school to the church!

We started the week testing out the cars we made last week; seeing how far and how fast they travelled along a track.

We have also been talking a lot about eating well and moving well; we looked at all the different fruits and vegetables we eat and started tracking how many different colours we could eat each day which linked into Thursday’s assembly led by Lucy all about eating well and moving well in order to stay well.

We then used our writing skills to write a shopping list of our favourite fruits and vegetables.

During the week we have a!so been creating watercolour still-life of fruits and vegetables.

This week was also Evans birthday and despite him being ill on his actual birthday he brought in a chocolate birthday cake to share with his friends when he returned!

in maths we used the same fruits and vegetables to explore weighing; trying to get the scales to balance.

Then we finished the week with a lovely walk to the church to meet Paul. Each and everyone of the children was so sensible and we were so impressed with the way they walked all the way there without incident!!

Let’s hope this weather continues over the weekend and we’ll see you next week.
