Chagford Church of England Primary School

Newsletter 27th March 2015

Dear Parents and Friends,

I would like to say how absolutely delighted I am to accept the offer of permanent Headteacher of Chagford School, with effect from Easter. I have had a fantastic year in the acting role and I am looking forward to carrying through the projects started during this period. Chagford School is a special place with talented teachers and support staff and a dynamic and creative community involved in all that we do as a school. I know that the future is looking very positive for the children and their teaching and learning.

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff within the school for all their hard work and support over the last year. I am very much looking forward to continuing to work with them. I would also like to thank the Governors for all their support and the trust that they have shown towards me as Acting Head. It is reassuring to know that the future direction of the school is in very safe hands.

Could I wish you all a very Happy Easter and I look forward to seeing you all back at school on Monday 13th April.

PTFA News

Huge thanks to everyone who supported our tea, cake & uniform sale after school last Friday. We made £108.35 which was really great. The vast majority of the takings were due to Goldsworthy’s amazing cakes – beautifully made and served, so massive thanks to them and their families. Also huge thanks to Mia who sorted the uniforms for sale – the second hand cupboard is now tidy! We plan to do these hopefully every half term over the spring & summer as they’re such a lovely way to end the school week – and to pick up a bargain!

We also had a really productive meeting this week to come up with some new PTFA events so watch out for the first of these happening next term – more news in book bags after the Easter holidays! Ruth

Clubs

Details of next term’s clubs will be published on the school website. To book please follow the instructions on the “Clubs” page.
