On Tuesday afternoon, Monet class ventured into the wildlife area to make Bronze Age round houses, of the kind that would have been found on Dartmoor 3,500 years ago. We had been finding out about the differences between Stone Age and Bronze age people and their lives, and how their settlements had changed as a result of discovering how to make bronze. We made miniature roundhouses, but some of us took our learning further and showed how people of that time made enclosures for their animals and fields in which to cultivate crops.

We have left our historical creations in the Wildlife area for other children to look at and learn from!
