Dear Families,

Welcome back to the longest, darkest but most exciting half term! There are going to be lots of fabulous events so do keep your eyes peeled for information in our newsletters!

Theatre Alibi

The highlight for many this week was the Theatre Alibi performance of ‘I Believe in Unicorns.’ Unfortunately, I missed it, but Year 5 told me all about it. They said it was a great performance and it was mesmerising. The story was a sad one; but it had lots of funny parts and ended happily. They said the actors were really good, they were happy when they needed to be happy and sad when they needed to be sad. The story was all about protecting our freedom to read books.

Remembrance Sunday

We have poppies for sale in school so please do bring donations for our collection. The service will take place at the Church at 10.30am on Sunday. We would like to have some children reading poems, leading prayers and helping lay our wreath. If your child would like to represent the school in this way, please let Miss Penny know.

Housekeeping

  • With the change of weather and drop in temperature, please make sure children have a jumper and a waterproof coat each day and non-slip school shoes or boots as it can get very muddy on our playground.
  • Mobile Phones

Please can I remind you that if you allow your child to bring a mobile phone to

school, this must be kept in the school office until home time. Thank you

PTFA

Many thanks for all the book donations which have been received, very grateful. These will be added onto the school IT library system and then a wish list is going to be produced of certain books which the school library would still like, we can circulate this and then these books can be purchased and gifted to the school.  A big thank you to Pin (Kitty’s Mum) who is taking on the task of overhauling the library and the IT system.

Next PTFA meeting is Monday November 11th, 7.00pm, venue to be confirmed. Claire Northmore (PTFA Chair)
