We are half way through the final week in Oak class.  We have been making the most of it and working in groups to make cookies and ziggurats out of LEGO.

On Tuesday we had a visit from the health centre to reveal the winners of the art competition carried out in the spring term.  The winner from each class will have their art work displayed for a year at the centre.  A huge well done to Harriet who was the overall winner and Olivia and Abbie both receiving their certificates and gifts as well deserved runners up.

Our work was inspired by the artist David Hockney and of the scenes we saw at Dawlish Warren.

We also had a great morning at the park today.  We didn’t stop playing and Miss Philpott kindly brought us an ice cream which was appreciated in the sun!

We still have things to look forward to including the leavers’ service at the church tomorrow afternoon and their play on Friday afternoon.  Don’t forget your swimming kit as we have our last session tomorrow (Thurs) at Chagford pool.

As this is our final blog of the year in Oak class, may we both wish you all a happy and enjoyable summer.
