Welcome back – having the glorious sunshine with us this week has definitely made us feel happy – we ventured outside to start our new Literacy topic and wrote a guide about our school!
Our new book, Rainforest Rough Guide, looks at all the creepy crawlies and other creatures that are potentially under threat in the Amazon and how the Rainforest tribes use the forest on a day to day basis. We were very lucky this week to listen to some first-hand experience about life in the Rainforest as Mr Dray has actually been there! He could answer some of the puzzles we had about the place.
In Maths we continue our work on fractions: finding equivalence and adding fractions together.
Take a look at our fantastic Seawigs! The children thoroughly enjoyed making these and our work on coasts continues this half-term.
Don’t forget it’s World Book Day next week – we look forward to seeing you dressed up as your favourite characters on Friday 8th March.
Have a lovely weekend – let’s hope the sun keeps shining!
