Nearing the end of this half term has meant we are drawing to a close with Exeter chiefs rugby sessions with an in school tournament next week on Wednesday and some children will be representing the school at a tournament on Thursday. However this week the children had a huge amount of fun making and trying smoothies whilst thinking about the importance of healthy eating. As promised, because Otters enjoyed them so much, here are the recipes.

Exotic Smoothie: Mango, Pineapple, Orange and Coconut Milk (equal quantities of each, I used Alpro coconut milk)

Otters Splashy Smoothie: Bananas, Blueberries, Raspberries, Strawberries and apple juice. (equal quantities of each)

They were great fun to drink and very tasty.

In literacy the children have just finished planning there own Greek myths, which are amazing and I can’t wait to see them written which we will do next week. In maths we have been focussing on multiplication and understanding the relationship of numbers.

In music the children have had an amazing time learning how to play the violin with Mrs Rowe which they have thoroughly enjoyed – maybe some future musicians in the making.

Blue house won the overall competition in the school this week and came joint first with yellow in class.

I look forward to one more week with Otters before a well deserved break.
