It's been a busy couple of weeks in EYFS! We had so much fun chatting to firefighter Josh about his job. This then inspired lots of dressing up and role play as firefighters, as well as dressing up as other heroes such as doctors in our class role play area. We even learnt about how animals can be heroes and some of the children did an exercise leading each other around (very carefully!) with their eyes closed to explore what it would be like to need a guide dog.
Finally, the children have been doing many different activities to explore numbers within 10 - most recently they drew around their hands and decorated each finger and thumb to represent each number up to 10. We also made sure that each of the 3 bears had the correct breakfast items in order to make 3 groups of 3. The children did so well with these activities! Thank you for wrapping your children up well in this cold snap that we are having. We welcome any additional layers that they may need to ensure everybody is warm enough to be outside for break and lunchtime. Please make sure all these lovely items are named so we can be sure they make it home again with your child. Have a wonderful, safe and happy half term! The EYFS Team
