We began this week spending time in our PSED session talking about why it’s ‘good being me!’ as a run up to Children In Need. We learned a lot about our feelings and ourselves and others and discovered that some of the children in class could fly!
We had a very interesting middle of the week when we started a discussion about Space and between all the children they were able to name all the planets in the Solar System!!
We also made our Cauliflower Christmas Card this week, which hopefully you have found in your child’s book bag; they need to be returned early next week please.
Parents meetings this week were a lovely opportunity to chat to you all about how well the children are doing in Matisse and how easy the transition from Mondrian has been this time round now we are an FSU. It was also a lovely time to share personal stories about the hilarious things your young children do and say!!
We finished the week with a Children In Need Day where we decorated pants and made Pudsey biscuits to raise money. Tina and Jess wore their pants on the outside for the entire day – I wore mine too but not for the whole day!
A couple of dates for your diary:
This Wednesday morning we are having The Barn Owl Trust visit to talk to us about owls which is very kindly being funded by Schools Out/Little Acorns, so a big thank you to them.
Also we have a provisional date for the FSU Christmas performance of 12th December at 2.00pm, this may be subject to change but just to make you aware as it isn’t that far away!!
See you all next week
