It has been such a beautiful, sunny week! This week we have really explored our class text, Nen and the Lonely Fisherman. We have been reading the text together and thinking about how to read with expression to engage the listener. We have also been explroing the feelings of the characters by writing diary entries from the view of the character at different parts of the story.
In maths, we have been learning how to add and subtract values of money. We can recognise different coins and notes and use partitioning and number lines to calculate. We are learning about animals in our science lesson next week! Habitats and ecosystems! We will be exploring the behaviours of different species, their habitats, food chains and food webs. The children could do some research before our lessons if they wanted, perhaps looking at the habitats of their favourite, wild animal. Habitats of Animals | Ecosystems | DK Find Out As summer seems to have arrived, the children are getting quite warm on the playground. Please send the children in with a bottle of water each day, this means we can ensure they drink enough to cope with the heat. THE POOL IS OPEN! This means we should be swimming on Tuesday, please remember your swimmers and towels! Have a lovely weekend!
