As part of our English we read the beautiful story The Promise, 'Inspired by the belief that a relationship with nature is essential to every human being, and that now, more than ever, we need to renew that relationship, The Promise is the story of a magical discovery that will touch the heart and imagination of every reader, young and old' The class were tasked to make seed bombs, to take home and decorate somewhere that needed brightening up and make others feel happy. They wrote some magical stories of spreading their own joy of planting in a grey place. We also took on the role of a Stone Age person, the children had the opportunity to whittle spear heads from soap. We had some natural whittlers in class, who demonstrated great acts of kindness, to fellow class mates by offering help to those who were struggling. Friday saw a classroom full of creative characters for our celebration of world book day.
