Advent is here!

This week in Hawthorn Class, we welcomed Miss Fell to the team! We are delighted that she will be training to teach in our class. One highlight of the week was Miss Fell's lesson on sustainable education, where the children discussed a number of different scenarios for planet Earth in the year 2050. We had a very insightful discussion about steps that we should take to ensure a positive future for all.
Other activities this week included:

1) Cross country challenge with OCRA
2) Preparing for the lantern parade by singing in Spanish
3) Learning about grid references on a map
4) Sorting food chains and identifying what the producer was in each chain. 
5) Learning about the values behind Advent and writing our own prayers to wish Peach, Joy, Love and Hope to the world.
