We have had such an interesting week in Oak class! Now that the term is well under way, we are beginning to explore some very exciting concept around settlements and cultures. Did you know that the Stone Age began around 15,000 years ago? This week we explored the time periods of the Stone Age and will continue our Stone Age adventure next week where we learn about the different animals that existed 15,000 years ago. We will begin a new adventure in English next week, exploring Kassim and the Greedy Dragon! We will be exploring new vocabulary and sentence structures to keep our writing engaging!
Today we were very lucky to have a workshop run by the Regency String Quartet where we were able to listen to some famous pieces of music as well as some familiar themes to some of our favourite shows and films. They even played Happy Birthday for a member of our class! Here are some links to some useful sites for our Prehistoric Britain unit as well as some vocabulary that we are beginning to explore.
