![]() Hello everyone! Wow, I can't believe we've completed the first half-term already! We've had a busy time since September, and we've really settled into our new class and routines - I've certainly settled into Chagford Primary School, and feel very lucky to be with Oak class! This week was especially exciting, as we welcomed our new Year 2 members into Oak class for our History lesson, ahead of our change to a Year 2/3 class when we come back from half-term. We learnt all about Stone Henge, and then we attempted to build our own mini Stone Henges...out of biscuits! It was a fantastic lesson, and I was so impressed by the building going on! Thank you Oak Class for all your hard work this half-term - I can't wait to see you all again soon, and look forward to welcoming our new class members. Have a lovely halfterm break, Miss Paddon

Hi everyone!
It's been a busy week in Oak class! In Science, we have been learning about Scientific methods. In our lesson, we practices writing methods, by writing a recipe on how to decorate biscuits! We write our methods (while I put the biscuits on the oven!), and then followed the method to decorate the biscuits - they all looked delicious! Another highlight was Art - Mr Dray taught the children all about cave painting from the Stone Age, and then we had a go at creating out own. I was so impressed by all the fantastic work, it really felt like we were back in the Stone Age! On the last post I mentioned the homework options for this term, so please have a scroll down to find them. They are optional, and you can choose to do one, or all of them! I can't wait to see anything you decide to do! Have a great weekend, Miss Paddon ![]() Hello everyone! It's been 4 weeks since the start of the term, and I can't believe how quickly the time is whizzing by! This week we've been continuing to learn about place value in Maths, learning about the different eras during the Stone Age, and practicing our French with Miss Jordan. Be sure to keep practicing your ninja numbers from 1-10 in French! This halfterm, the children's homework will consist of a selection of activities (see the homework grid on this post!) You could do one, or all of them! Please feel free to bring in any evidence of the activities - I'd love to see what you do!
