December 11th, 2020

The Hawthorn team have been so proud of the children this week - so many exciting things to juggle, and didn't they do well? The main event of course, was the Lantern Parade! We are so grateful to Ms Rowe for organising this and the children all looked and sounded the part in their festive/Hispanic costumes, while singing Feliz Navidad at the tops of their voices! We really enjoyed ourselves and hope that any onlookers had as much fun as we did. 

Other things we have been up to include:

• learning about perimeter and finding missing values on rectilinear shapes - tricky!
• circuit training with Mr Ansell and then rounders with Miss Fell. The children have really improved their communication when fielding.
• creating some nativity themed artwork for the Chagford late night shopping last Thursday
• plenty of singing practices and a couple of assessments for Maths and Reading - everyone did very well, good job :) 

We've said goodbye to Miss Fell for now but really look forward to welcoming her back in January. One more week of term to go!
