Dear Hawthorn Class,
You have now successfully completed a half term's worth of remote learning! Well done! It's a huge achievement - you have made time in your days to complete work for all sorts of different subjects and together I feel we are getting better at learning via technology! It was particularly fun to read through a play together this week and we had some wonderful acting from those of you taking on the parts of Anglo Saxon monks and Vicious Vikings! Huge well done to Gigi for persevering with her part, although the connection was a bit dodgy! Below I've attached some pictures of the children who have been in school this week. We've been working hard on writing the next scene of the play that tells the story of Lindisfarne. I'm really looking forward to reading playscripts from the rest of the class who have completed this task at home. We have also had some great online practices of the song 'This Is Me', learning the words at the same time as using sign language. This has been in aid of the annual 'Sign 2 Sing' event, which raises awareness and money for the deafness charity SignHealth. You can find more information about it here: https://sign2sing.org.uk/ Our favourite signs so far have been for the words 'drum' and 'this is me'. Finally, I couldn't end this blog without mentioning what fun we had playing in the snow this week! See below for a few pictures! Have a wonderful half term, everyone! You all deserve a big rest and as much fun as possible in these rather strange times. Stay safe and healthy and looking forward to seeing you all after the break! Mrs Robertson
