Learning Wc 26.4
We had a very theatrical start to the week this week. Continuing our Ancient Greek myths topic we turned our focus onto the story of King Midas. The children took great delight in bringing his character to life by role playing and then writing out dialogue between him and The Satyr who granted his wish. It was great to see everyone show off their greedy, selfish and eventually remorseful sides.
In maths the children have been experimenting with and investigating perimeter. They have used a range of methods to calculate the distance around the outside of many different shapes. They have used their previous knowledge of rectangles and squares to work out perimeters in efficient ways.
