Welcome back, everybody!

Wow, what a week it's been. First of all, what a delight to have everyone back in Hawthorn class together again. It's been energetic, fun, busy and happy! How great to see each other and get to share our learning and play times together again. 

We've been up to all sorts...

• Spotting different types of invertebrate in Forest school... is it an insect, an arachnid, a mollusc or an annelid?
• Plenty of singing with Ms Rowe to relax our minds and bodies
• Obstacle courses with Saints sports coach Mr. Strong
• Learning about different climates and then finding clues outside to prove that we live in a temperate climate
• It's been World Book Week at Chagford, so we have been doing all things Roald Dahl related in terms of Maths and literacy... class favourites included the 'Dahl's Dinner Party' logic puzzle and acting out scenes from James and the Giant Peach!

Last but not least, it would be remiss of me not to mention our fancy dress day today as a belated World Book day... we have had incredible outfits, including Harry Potter, the Cat in the Hat and characters from stories that the children are currently writing in their spare time! Wow! I can't wait to read what these budding authors have to say.
