Yew Tree – Week 2
We’ve had a lovely week in Yew Tree class!
In English, we have been enjoying exploring the rhyme and descriptive devices in our Mad about Mini-beasts poetry book and next week we can’t wait to start writing our own class version too!
In Maths, we have been investigating different types of data and creating our own investigations and problem solving activities to help us interpret pictograms, tally charts, bar charts and lots more!
In Science, we have been understanding more about the different parts of plants and comparing the amazing plants outside of our classroom. We are very lucky to have such a huge range of beautiful wildlife just outside the door! We also had a visit from Mr Poo (don’t ask!) Chantelle’s newest lamb who luckily didn’t live up to his name!
In DT, We have also been designing our own biscuits ready to bake in the next few weeks and we also had lots of fun in our first Yoga sessions with Chantal (Rupert’s mum!)
Finally, our biggest news is to celebrate our excellent class assembly all about love. Unfortunately, the camera wasn’t present at our class assembly so there are no photos this time but we hope those who did join us enjoyed it and we will see you all at the next one. A huge well done Yew Tree for another great assembly!
Have a great bank holiday weekend everyone!
