Yew Tree – Week 5

What a fantastic arts week!

This week we have been here, there and everywhere getting creative in all manner of different ways!

We have thoroughly enjoyed creating our own photographs using traditional Victorian cameras in Beech class, expressing ourselves with MED theatre, creating our own clay tiles for our new Cob structure on the playground, learning how to play a variety of amazing instruments with Wren Music, experimenting with watercolours to paint flowers and finally designing and building our own fairy houses too! Whew! What a lot we have packed into one week!

The children have absolutely loved each workshop and it has been so wonderful seeing them being creative and exploring new ways to express themselves. I’d also like to say a big thank you to our excellent volunteers and workshop leaders who have worked so hard alongside Chagford staff to create a really inspiring week of art.

Next week, we are looking forward to meeting our new teachers and classes, continuing with our Year 3 swimming lessons, hopefully squeezing in some cooking and lots more!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Best wishes,

Joe Skinner and the Year 2/3 team.
