Community, Challenge, and Care
“Let us spur each other on to love and good works.” — Hebrews 10:24
At Chagford Church of England Primary School, our mission is to nurture a thriving community built on community, challenge, and care. Rooted in our Christian vision - “Let us spur each other on to love and good works” (Hebrews 10:24) - we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired.
Community lies at the heart of our school. We foster a culture of belonging where every member of our school family is known, respected and encouraged to flourish. Through strong relationships and a shared sense of purpose, we inspire one another to act with kindness, to serve others, and to contribute positively to both our local and wider community.
We embrace challenge as an essential part of learning and growth. Guided by our vision to “spur each other on,” we encourage curiosity, resilience, and ambition in all that we do. By setting high expectations and supporting one another to persevere, we enable every child to develop confidence, discover their potential, and strive for excellence in their learning and in their lives.
Through care, we nurture the whole child - academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. In a safe and compassionate environment, we model love in action, encouraging empathy, respect, and understanding. By caring for ourselves, one another and the world around us, we live out our commitment to love and good works in meaningful and lasting ways.
Together, our vision shapes a school where every individual is supported to grow, to succeed and to make a positive difference in the world.
