Sports Premium Grant
The Sports Premium is a government grant that provides funding to primary schools in England to improve the quality of physical education (PE) and sport. The funding is intended to help schools encourage healthy, active lifestyles for their pupils.
The Sports Premium is allocated directly to schools as a lump sum plus a per-pupil top-up. The amount a school receives is based on the number of primary-aged pupils in the school. For the 2023–2024 academic year, each school will receive £16,000 plus £10 per primary-aged pupil.
