Dear Families, A soggy week with too many indoor plays. If only we could have some dry weather for break and lunchtimes, we would be much happier! School Vision This week in Assembly, I told the children we are reviewing our school vision. We looked at some company and charity vision statements and agreed ours needs to be: Achievable Aspirational Inspirational Understandable for all ages Memorable Unique to us! I asked them to think about what they most want from school. Once all of the ideas are collected, we will share with you for consultation. School Website I know our school website has been causing problems this week, not always allowing access. We should have our new platform very soon. Hero Showcase Assembly – Thursday 13th February 2.30 – 3.30pm at the school. We would like to share our topic learning with you on the last Thursday of the term. As previously, each class will showcase some of their learning so you do not just see your own children, but what has been learnt across the school. Many parents have said they really like this format. Bank Holiday Date The May Bank Holiday has been changed from Monday 4th May to Friday 8th May. This was a decision made to coincide with VE day. Do check your 2020 calendars and diaries as many were printed before this change was made. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-48565417 Breakfast club We have a breakfast club every morning 8.00am until school starts. If you would like your child to attend, please book in advance (by 5.00pm the day before) via the School Gateway so that we can cater for this. Clubs this term
We hope to have some new clubs next term…
Cutlery Does your child need cutlery for their packed lunch? If so, please remember to provide what they need. We do lend out school cutlery, but it does not always come back! A parent kindly brought in a collection of borrowed cutlery, which had collected at home, we are very appreciative! If you have some at home, please bring it back. If you have any spares at home, we would gladly have these too! We are particularly short of teaspoons. Thanks! PTFA meeting – Tuesday 21st January The next PTFA meeting will be this coming Tuesday, 21st January at 9.15am (after school drop off) at the Three Crowns. Come and join for coffee and chat about fundraising ideas for this coming term. With very best wishes, Miss Tara Penny Comments are closed.
