We have had a very festive week in Beech class. The start of the week saw us creating our Christmas lanterns and decorating them, a huge thank you to Mrs Dunnage for all her help making the lanterns look fabulous! We then learnt about the Nativity story and thought about why we celebrate Christmas. We did lots of practicing of Little Donkey and made our donkey ears for yesterday's parade. We had a lot of fun performing in the parade and it was lovely to see so many parents and other familiar faces in the crowd too. Thank you so much for braving the rain to come a help celebrate with us, it felt like a very special evening. Today, the festive fun has continued, with our Christmas jumper day and Santa visiting too. Thank you so much to all the children and families who donated to help support Save the Children, the children looked brilliant in their Christmas jumpers (see photos below). Just before lunch, Miss Penny asked us to go out for an assembly and in rode Santa on his bike with gifts for all the classes. Beech class were very lucky and received some lovely wet play games including 'Dobble'- which went down very well with the children. Thank you so much to Santa for coming and for the wonderful elves who helped arrange it all, it made the children's day! Hope that you all have a good weekend, look forward to seeing you on Monday for our last week of term!

Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you for all your kind words and messages over the last few days. It has been lovely being able to come back and see all the children again. They have come such a long way since I was last in the classroom! I am incredibly proud of every single member of Beech class, they have handled all the changes exceptionally well.
Today, some of the children started putting the tissue paper on their lanterns, the rest of the children will be able to do this next week. Our lantern parade is next week, Thursday 10th December. It would be lovely to see as many of you as possible there. Hope that you have a restful weekend! |
