We have had a fabulous week celebrating May Day; making Jack in the Green masks, learning Spring time songs and dances with Miss Rowe, making Flower garlands, listening to the accordion and dancing with scarves - not unlike Morris Dancing! and leading about the traditions of May Day and where it all began! 
We have continued with reading and writing activities and we have been writing number sentences in our maths.
Once again the weather has been kind to us and we have spent lots of time outside. Let's hope it continues for this long weekend. See you all on Tuesday.

Welcome back and welcome to the sunshine!
We have had a very busy first week; getting back into the swing of learning and thinking about our new topic. This term we are Looking at Transport and we spent a few sessions discussing different forms of transport including cars, planes, boats and our bodies! We decided as a whole class that we would like to have pony rides, tractor rides, a train ride and flying lessons so if anyone has a plane please step forward, the rest we reckon we could find! We also want to make boats, hot air balloons and rockets so we may be looking for old recycling materials in the near future; watch this space!
In our phonics we have been practising our letter formations and continuing with reading. In maths we have been subitising, adding and taking away. In PE this week we got out the apparatus and practising our traveling and balancing. The rest of our time has been spent on the sunshine!request
